Timeout in VT

Two weekends ago (has it really been that long since I've blogged?) I went to visit my parents in VT. My brother and his wife were "in town" from Hawaii, so it was a great excuse for me to get "out of town"! It was a beautiful, warmer-than-early-fall, weekend and I realized just how refreshing it was to get away for a few days. I enjoyed enjoyed walking and gazing at the beautiful changing leaves; sitting near the hearth of a warm fire; catching up with family; going out to dinner (at The Castle) to celebrate birthdays, and sleeping in! It was the perfect weekend, except of course, for the absence of my other half.
